Snow Will Continue Into the Evening

Steady light snow has overspread Southern New England.  Most areas have at least a coating.  TF Green Airport officially reported 0.2″ as of 1PM.  More snow is expected.

An area of slightly heavier snow moving over Long Island and Long Island Sound at around 2:30PM will move across the south coasts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts this afternoon and evening.  The back edge of this snow was moving across New York City.

The latest computer model information indicates that the back edge of the snow will move across our area a little sooner than originally anticipated…between  7 and 9PM.

Our forecast of about an inch in Providence and 2-4″ toward the coast still holds.
