Record Snowfall for Providence

Providence broke a significant weather record today.  9.5″ was measured at TF Green Airport in Warwick at 8PM.  That is the highest snowfall for March 13th in Providence. However, that breaks the record for an epic storm, the Superstorm of ’93.  While Rhode Island didn’t see the impact like many other states, 7″ of fell on March 13th that year, in addition to more than 2″ of rain.

Records for the city have been kept since 1904.
